Earlier today, INEC issued a certificate of return to a member of PDP, Uche Ogah, following an order by the Abuja Federal High Court on Monday June 27th, mandating the electoral body to immediately issue Certificate of Return to Ogah who came second at the PDP primaries in the state in 2014. The state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has released a statement reacting to the development, According to him, he remains the Governor of the state since he has filed an appeal against the ruling. ’Femi Asu and Okechukwu Nnodim Nigeria is seeking $40bn to $50bn investment in oil projects with the commencement of a major road show in China, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, said on Monday. Kachikwu, in an interview with Bloomberg Television in Beijing monitored by our correspondents, said the country had signed a potential deal for $8.5bn of investment with China North Industries Group Corporation. “We’re looking to raise about $40bn to $50bn, which covers the infrastructure gap that we see in Nigeria. He noted that his administration had made substantial investment in ensuring peace and stability in the state. According to him, crime has neither colour, nor political party, and as such, the government expects security agencies to employ the full weight of the law in rooting out those who perpetrate violence and criminal activities.
